One day Socahtoa was out looking for a cache in the North that was 14 feet up in a tree. The only spot to stand that wasn't knee deep in poison oak was 21.032612 feet away from the base of the tree (according to his precision distance measuring thingamajig). Luckily, he had his pneumatic adjustable metal pole grabber, so he quickly calculated how long to extend his reacher to retrieve the cache.
The next day he decided to go hunt in the West. He picked the cache he was going to go after and his GPSr told him it was 9.3 miles away. Unfortunately, that was as the crow flies and he really had to go 6.5119698 miles south and then make a 90 degree turn before going 6.639597 miles west. Of course, just for fun he calculated the angle those two routes made from his starting point.
Congrats to Geo.Otter for the FTF!
