More than an adjective but worthy of insertion as this is quite poetic - It reminded me of the broken hand of an old crone, with torn sinews and arthritic fingers enclosing and oppressing the unwelcome visitor. The rattling wind carried her cackling cries away into the distance.
I remained before it for a while, stupefied, and ignorant of the existence of such a thing.
