Geocache Description:

This is our 6 year old son's first cache. We have hidden it in a place that we walk through frequently on our way to and from school and love for its peace and natural beauty.

The Pang meadow is a beautiful, peaceful meadow close to the village of Pangbourne. It is often grazed by cows and occasionally their bull is present as well. There is great blackberry, hawthorn and sloe picking in season and kingfishers can be seen on the river if you are quiet (rarely happens with young children!)

Parking is plentiful in the centre of Pangbourne and from there it is a short walk down The Moors (please do not park here as it is a private road) which turns into a mud path. When you reach the gate you head towards the break in the tree line with the allotments beyond.

The cache is a plastic Click lock box. When placed, it contained a shell, a pink bead, a Swiss coin, a Euro coin a paper man and a 40th birthday badge.

Do take the time to enjoy the local surroundings and a fair few (more tricky) other caches in the area.
