As told by DayofTh3D3ad...
The year was 1987, this would be the first time the tale was ever told to me, now it's 2011 and I shall share my version of this tale with you.
The sequestered location is known as "Incest Land, " yes, you read this correctly. The urban legend has been spun in many directions, one of forbidden, unspeakable act as for mentioned in its name. Others tell of a brutal and murderous mayhaem and this is where my story begins.
Legend has it this area, very secluded, was the site used to hang children of slaves, children that suffered disfigurement and that suffered mental disabiliy. The reason for this area was simple, it was miles away from any civilization and whatever died out here would be more than likely carried off by preditors.
It is said that on a full moon night the fog creeps in along the meandering creek and from the moon light shall cast the shadows of those forgotten souls hanging, swaying from the limbs of the towering cottonwood trees that sprawled all along the waters edge. If you listen closely you can still hear the children's gasping and struggling from natures gallows as the air fills with the stench of blood.
Today the site is a lot less ominous as modern advancements pushes through the area. All that remains is a lonely old iron truss bridge and most of the towering cottonwoods have log since been cut down. After revisting this site, I researched the bridge and surrounding area and found very little history pertaining to the tale that followed it. But take a moment, look around and just maybe you can add your own twist to this "Urban Legend."
