Geocache Description:

This is the entry point for the local camel team to enter on to Lighthouse Beach.

It is quite an experience to walk past camels on a beach in this neck of the woods.

The camels were allowed to ply their trade on Lighthouse Beach many years ago after many applications to Council and lots of consultation.

The organisation involved had to jump through many hoops in the process including proving that they would not degrade the area that they were allowed in, operating times and finally the camels have to wear poo bags so their droppings were not left on the beach.

This is also a vehicular access for 4WD vehicles (with the appropriate Council Permit) and there are two paths to follow. Please don't go down the 4WD track if you are walking and face the possibility of causing a vehicle coming up from the beach to stop. The Sand is very soft in this area and stopping for pedestrians and dogs has dug me in a couple of times. This has resulted in recovery either by digging out the vehicle or at other times with snatch straps and winching, both for myself and other people that I have been called down to recover.

The Cache
The cache is camouflagedand pretty well hidden as it would need to be in this high density muggle area. Stealth is an absolute requirement and please place the cache back as you found it to reduce the chance of it being muggled.

Congratulations to LHBFan for the FTF and also for your very first FTF.
