Geocache Description:

Parlee Freeman Barnes
Conservation Area
About This Area
Parlee Freeman Barnes Conservation Area is in
Texas County, off Highway 38 on gravel road
5250, approximately 10 miles southwest of
Houston.
The property was donated to the Conservation
Commission in 1963 by Dr. Broda O. Barnes. The
Conservation Department accepted the tract as an
addition to its upland game program.
The 120-acre area is mostly forested. The
remainder is open or semi-open fields. A great
diversity of wildlife is found here.
During your visit to Parlee Freeman Barnes
Conservation Area, you may see various forest
improvement practices designed to improve tree
growth and quality. The practices are designed to
also improve wildlife habitat and watershed qual-
ity.
Wildlife habitat management includes creating
watering ponds and manipulating fields within the
forest to provide additional food sources. Timber
harvests on the area also produce forage and cover
for wildlife.

I decided to add a little twist to this cache. It is a known fact that the accuracy of GPSr's are different and that is why we all use our "geo-senses" when we are searching for the elusive smiley. The posted coords are true and accurate according to my GPSr averaged 120 times.

The twist is everyone is allowed to log an FTF on this cache, to make it plausible is to ask each person who finds the cache to move it from its hiding spot. Only 1 rule if you decide to move the cache do not move it any further than 12ft from the original posted coords. When you post a log on geocaching.com please state how far you moved the cache from its posted original spot.

Original contents are assorted swag items a stash note and log book byop.
