Geocache Description:

All of the caches in this series are located at or near Taste of Nova Scotia sites. Taste of Nova Scotia is a program that the provincial government funds to bring exceptional Nova Scotia producers and culinary craftmen to the forefront. There are so many places, from resturants to wineries to farm markets, that show the variety of food and drink in this province.

This cache is near an ex-Taste of Nova Scotia resturant. As the cache name hints, this was not always a "tourist trap" but this was the launch site of many of the trans-Atlantic cables that spanned from Europe to North America. There are a series of ten plaques along the wharf that can help to inform you of it's important communications history. Be careful when going for the cache, both in a ninja and safety setting. Look for the other caches in the series.
