Easy cache in a local park. Designed for the kids - somewhere to play and big enough to hold small items and travelbugs/geocoins. BYOP.
We've recently moved here from the UK and spotted this park near Exeter Place and Devonshire Road, so reminding us of holidays in the south of England we thought it would be a great place for our first time placing a cache.
Devonshire is a popular destination for us Brits to go on holiday. It has good camping spots, a selection of nice beaches and good surfing locations and has a reasonably good chance of nice weather in the summer. Although it's still in England, so of course that can never be relied upon!
Devonshire is also famous for it's cream teas - traditionally with scones, clotted cream and jam. You'll see many quaint little cottages and small windy lanes, and if you venture out into the countryside you can explore Dartmoor which features many Tors (very interesting rock formations left behind by the glaciers of the last ice age - go google it!)
We had some assistance from Jandals in placing this cache :)
The cache is easy to get to, no off-roading required :D Placed close to the play equipment in the park, so bring along the mini cachers to have a play, in fact they should be able to find it if you point them in the right direction. It's a round 400ml tub with some simple camo. BYOP. At time of placement it contained a logsheet, bouncy ball, a silliband, a barbie purse and a few other small items for trade.
Please make sure lid is put back on properly afterwards.
