Join us at Kejimkujik National Park & Historic Site of
Canada for the 2nd Geocache Challenge Program launch within the
park. Five new geocaches with a new theme will be in the
park.
We invite geocachers to come out and spend a spectacular fall
weekend at Keji. Plan an overnight of camping, or accommodations
nearby as there will be a guided night hike along one of the
trails.
Agenda
9am Group Bike starting at Eel Weir to log the 2 most
difficult caches. Bring a lunch and your mountain bike for this 31k
ride. (~4 hour activity)
3:00pm – 5:00pm Event Gathering-Talk about the day in
the park - Closing of Main Event at Mill Falls
8:00pm Group Night Hike - Star Gazing - Along Gold Mine
Trail (90 min activity)
The event will be located at the Mill Falls shelter. There is an
entry fee and on-season camping rates will apply. Most of the sites
open in the campground will have electricity.
Activities
- Bring your Kayak or Canoe and go for a paddle along the Mersey
River & Kejimkujik Lake.
- Socialize with fellow geocachers and discuss your adventure
about the challenge series
- Guided Group Night Hike along Gold Mine Trail
- Star Gaze at the new Sky View platform at the main
campground
DISCLAIMER
- The visitor centre will be open from 8:30am to 4:00pm. For
those who will be camping overnight, report to the visitor centre
to check-in. The campground section that will be open will have
electricity on all sites.
