Geocache Description:

POST ROCK CACHE

Wilson Lake-north of Bunker Hill, KS
(approx 15 minute drive north of I70 & about 17 miles northeast of Russell)


A Fun Scenic Hike to the Cache



The trip to this cache is partially on gravel roads so road conditions should be a consideration. The parking area & trailhead to this cache is located at n38° 55.540' w098° 39.402.

There is Poison Ivy along the trail but it can be completely avoided..see pictures if you don't know what it looks like.

The cache is in an Orange one gallon Gott jug.

Initial contents are: logbook and pens/pencils. Other items are: Dog keychain, pack of playing cards, matchbox car, 4 AA batteries, Kansas State Aeronautical charts, and a small A&W rootbeer mug.

Watch out for hunters as this is an open hunting area!!

This cache is less than a mile from the Russell #1 cache.

I70/Bunker Hill Exit is at N38 51.495 W 098 42.384. You can take 193rd to Balta Rd then east for the fastest route or stay on 193rd to the Wilson Lake Wildlife exit (Reservoir Road) for a slightly longer but more scenic route. There is some open range along Reservoir Road, so be ready to slow or stop for cattle.
