St Thomas Church on Lydd Road in Camber is of a fairly modern construction but is still at the heart of the local communities spiritual needs. Camber is more famed for its glorious beaches but the church is still a popular place to seek peace and quiet. The church stages many events throughout the year including an annual flower arranging festival. The former camber church and memorial hall were destroyed by a flying bomb in 1944, the royal william p.h was also badly damaged and a number of soldiers and ATS were killed and injured. Car parking is limited outside the church due to it being on a main road through the village.
