Geocache Description:

The cache is a very small plastic storage box within the confines of the Horish Wood area.

There is ample parking along the road leading into or out of Detling village.

Horish Wood is a site of Nature Conservation Interest. It is an ancient wood that can be traced back to the 14th Century.
The area covers 28 Acres of Ancient woodland and 5 Acres of Open grassland.
It is part of a small linear chain of ancient woodland along the spring line at the base of the North Downs scarp and also forms part of the Green Corridor around Detling.
Detling Parish Council purchased the wood in 2006 from London & Continental Railways.
