Geocache Description:

Walk Around The Gardens

A series of four caches placed on a public foot path running between the two Gardens Buckminster and Walton. It is best to start from the Buckminster Gardens end, although it can be started from Walton Gardens if wished.Apart from the first cache the walk is not really suitable for wheelchairs as it involves narrow paths and a flight of steps,
Walton Gardens was built about 1933 to house the workers at the new engineering works moving from Kent to Grantham.
Buckminster Gardens was also built to house workers, but this time for the armaments factory, built in 1938.

The second cache is a short walk along the lane through the trees,it is up hill with a flight of steps at the top making it difficult for wheelchairs and buggies
Being in the trees the coordinates can be a little varied but not to much of a problem as its easy to find

the footpath goes left or right from here, the left taking you towards Walton Gardens, the right towards the water tower

The cache is a 5x2 inch cylinder in disguise, with a log book, pencil and a few swaps.
