The three Oughtmama Churches form an early Christian site on the
northern edge of the Burren. Traditionally the site is associated
with St Colman but very little is known of its history.
Arriving at the cache co-ordinates you will find a black gate in
the doorway of the church, count the number of horizontal bars and
let this be A. The cache can be found at N53 07.0(A-3)(A+1) W009
02.3(A-2)(A+2).
This cache is a small tablock container. It contains an
unregistered coin for the FTF :-)
Last stop Oughtmama Loop #7
- Holy Well.
There are two routes you can take to the last cache. You can
return to the green road by crossing the fields to the north or you
can follow our GPX route which is shorter and will take you via
stone stiles across the fields to the northeast. Watch for
livestock and leave all gates as you find them.
