Geocache Description:

Its a short distance from the south end trailhead of the blue blazed Metacomet Trail near the bridge on route 189.

You will see a well traveled trail going up the bank near the sign for the Metacomet Trail but the blue blazed trail follows the guard rail down to the river. The trail here is poorly marked, washed out in places and overgrown with POISON IVY

Cache is a small tube with room for just the log sheet and pencil stub.

This is part of a series of 5 caches that will lead you to the Traiffville Gorge overlook of the Farmington River.

Best way to do the series is from the north end trailhead on Hatchet Hill Road.

The usual Metacomet Trail conditions, rocks, roots, mud, ticks, snakes, falloffs, ups and downs, some steep.
