Geocache Description:

A good cache should either have a cool location or a cool hiding method. Hopefully, this has at least one of those.

This is the second in a trifecta of caches for which we can't settle on a name. On the short list are "The Betty Dearing Triple Crown, " "The Fryman Tri-cache-alon" and "The Tree-O Trio."

The 3 caches in this set are:

This is a 4-stage puzzle cache. It consists of doing the following four times:

  1. Walk 5 minutes to get to a location.
  2. Find the cache at that location. There will be a puzzle inside it.
  3. Solve the puzzle to get the coordinates for the next location.
This cache is about finding and solving puzzles, not about climbing or bushwhacking. If you find yourself looking at some steep slope, wondering if you have to climb it, remember this:

An overweight guy in his mid 40s has verified that he can complete the entire route without his hands ever touching the ground.

We estimate that the 4-puzzle run will take about as much time as watching a movie.

A few suggestions, and one big request:

  • If the 91604 weather is described as "84, but feels like 92," it is not a good time to do this cache.
  • It's easier (and funner) to solve if you bring a friend.
  • You'll need a pencil (or pen) and paper.
  • Please do not write on the actual puzzles! They're on paper, so it might be tempting, but please don't mess it up for the next cacher.

Getting Started

The coordinates listed for this cache are the recommended parking, not the location of the first cache. In order to really get started you'll have to solve the puzzle below.

So, if you are ready...

Write down the names of these two guys:
