Note 5/21/2014: I realize the signs are all gone now. The stand (bent as it is) still holds the container. I am currently talking to the rangers to determine the future of this cache. For now it is still working but it is likely that soon I will remove or change the cache container for the cache's protection.
A brief introduction:

is a species native to the southeastern United States.
Find out more about this tree and offset your carbon footprint.
A little bit more about the tree:
It is a large tree, reaching 130 feet tall with a trunk diameter
of 10 feet. The bark is gray-brown to red-brown and has shallow
vertical fissures with a stringy texture. The leaves are borne on
deciduous branchlets that are spirally arranged on the stem but
twisted at the base to lie in two horizontal ranks.
Fun Fact!
Ancient bald cypress forests, with some trees more than 1,200
years old, once dominated swamps in the southeast US. The largest
remaining old-growth stand of bald cypress is at Corkscrew Swamp
Sanctuary, near Naples, Florida. These trees are around 500 years
old and some exceed 40 meters in height!
