This is my first cache, so please be nice to it and rehide well.
This cache also is a tribute to 2 people.
First, this cache is a tribute to anyone out there that doesn't
use a GPS. Silly right? My boyfriend and I don't have one because
this whole thing just started out as something to do when you have
nothing to do, so we used photos and maps to get our way around.
I've never really been able to do a puzzle cache because without a
GPS, it's really hard. So I've made this puzzle cache both
something you can do online then go searchin' or go to the actual
site to get the numbers, enter it in your GPS, and be on your marry
way.
Second tribute is for Saturnmansc1. We started on your caches
around the Cleveland area and they got us hooked. Thanks for that.
(:
The North Coordinate - Take the number on the name of the
bowling place on 3031 SE Powell blvd (North Coordinates Waypoint),
which is 2-3 blocks east of the GZ (G) (Google Maps, or Google)
Then take the big red number right across the street from it, can't
miss it. (R) (Google Maps) Then divide the two numbers. Next add
your new number to the last three numbers in the north
coordinates.
The West Coordinate - So you can go to the GZ up top which
happens to be a bus 10 bus shelter. Then looking at the bus shelter
schedule for that stop (26th & Powell) and take the time the
27th bus arrives at that stop (For those that are having trouble,
there is a three in the number you're looking for and people that
haven't rode the 10 before, this stop goes from PORTLAND CITY
CENTER to FOSTER & 94th) (trimet.org) and take out the colon
out from the time to make it a whole number. (B) Next, take the
number of whole steps in front of Cleveland High School, yes count
the itty bitty ones at the bottom too. (S) (Google Maps) Then add
these two numbers together then divide by two. Next add it to the
last 3 digits of the west coordinate.
This Cache is a small container about the size of half a can of
soda, with a brown lid and can hold some small TB's and geocoins
and what not. Hope it's not too hard. It'll be a walk in the park
(haha) for experienced cachers, and maybe a little challenging for
others. It is still in the park. Final Coordinates are off by 5-10
feet. After you get there you have to use your geosenses. Bring
your own pen please. :)
North Coordinate: G/R=Y N 45° 29.(890+Y)
West Coordinate: B+S=C C/2=P W 122° 38.(380+P)
