A small container hidden outside an interesting small cemetery behind AT&T.
Trinity Portland Cement Co began operations in 1909 and supplied much of the cement that built Dallas until it was moved in 1956. Mexican immigrants fleeing the Mexican revolution got jobs here and lived in a segregated community. This Mexican cemetery received burials from the influenza epidemic in 1918 until 1945 when a war veteran was laid to rest. The marker stones are made of cement with homemade crosses still standing.
Access to it can NO LONGER be made thru the AT&T gate. (In the past you could tell the guard you are going to the cemetery. Drive around the right side of the building and you will see it.)
The gate is locked, park next door in the Holiday Inn lot and follow the black fence and as soon as it ends the locked gate to the cemetery will be on your left.
