Geocache Description:

You are looking for a small tupperware container with a red lid. The cache contains just a paper logbook, you will need your own writing implement to sign the log.

Colindale tube station opened on the 18th August 1924, then part of the 'Hampstead and Highgate Line'. The original station building was destroyed in the way in 1940, and a simple temporary timber structure replaced until until 1962 when the current building was erected.

The 'Tube Challenge' in real life, is the attempt to get a record time to travel to all the tube stations on the network in the fastest time possible. As someone who has previously held this record (after making numerous attempts), I often get asked "So which is your favourite tube station then?", and the odd part is, is that I can't answer that because the majority of stations I have only ever passed through, not been outside. So the idea of these caches is to get people out of the station and she what's around, rather than just to pass through!

There will eventually be twenty-seven caches in this series, to cover 10% of the network (There are 270 stations in total).

The others are at: Bayswater, Becontree, Ealing Common, East Acton, North Greenwich, Roding Valley and Sloane Square.
