The coordinates will bring you to a neat place overlooking Hinkson
Creek. The hide should only be a little tricky. Be sure not to
chuck the cache into the creek while doing your "found it" dance.
Bring your own pen.
Parking should be easy on either side of the creek. There's
approximately a 40 meter walk over level ground to get to the
cache. I don't usually like hiding micros, but the place was too
neat to go without a cache.
I tried to find some information on either the structure itself or
the company that made it, and I unfortunately couldn't find
anything on either. A couple of folks have chimed in with their
logs, though. There is some information at historicbridges.org
and bridgehunter.com.
The bridge is a Pratt through truss type constructed in 1888 after
J.D. Little and a large group of local citizens petitioned the
Boone County Court for a new bridge over Hinkson Creek.
