This cache is easy to get to and will give great views on a fine day.
The mountain biking tracks in this area are within the confines of Centennial Reserve and are the result of work by a group of dedicated people to create mountain biking tracks. Started in 2008; they are a work-in-progress as the existing tracks are enhanced and new ones created.
The closeness to Mt Crawford Prison gave the inspiration for the names of the mountain bike tracks in this park (Conviction for the uphill track, Bootleg for the connecting sidle, and Jail Break for the downhill)
The latest addition to the Miramar bike park, and the site of this cache, is the children’s track which is a gentle 2kms around the Maupuia reservoir. Also under construction at the time of setting this cache is a “pump track” for the big kids to play on.
The cache is a small Marmite jar containing a logbook and small pencil only. It is camouflaged.
