This is a continuation of my series along the old R8 commuter tracks. You could probably save time, come up the tracks, and get them all at once.
Only the most ardent and hearty cachers should attempt this. The terrain rating is due almost entirely to the vegetation. As this cache went to publication, the terrain rating should be a three or three and a half. In a month or two, it should be a fully fledged four.
The cache is a painted, plastic 10 oz. food storage container with a pencil, log, some trinkets, and a nice prize for FTF to help out on those night caches.
I parked on the wide shoulder, eastbound, past the intersection. Pull far enough away (40 ft.) from the intersection so you don't get rear-ended by someone making a turn. There is also a wide shoulder westbound, a little farther past the intersection. The same advisory applies.
You may want to use the buddy system, so one can go for help if the other gets stuck. As I was pondering a place to stick the cache, it seemed as though the malevolent vegetation was moving to surround and grab me when I wasn't looking. I will try to leave here before it
