In celebration of Earth Day, we will be cleaning up a site that is the worst area for day-to-day trash in Duluth. We call this site a little bit different name in the tool-house, but I thought I'd keep it family friendly. I rated the terrain a bit higher, as most of the clean-up is on the hill below the wall and currently contains items such as TVs and garbage barrels...everything teens find fun to throw over. But, for those of you less agile, the parking lot is pretty easy to navigate. I'll also bring safety vests in case people want to walk a little of Skyline as well.
I (actually the City) will supply the bags, plastic gloves and pickers. If you want, bring heavier gloves with you. The trick will be to not park on the garbage as the entire lot tends to be cluttered as well.
We will start about 9 am and go until it is all picked up or until everyone collapses from the effort and/or frustration, whichever occurs first.
Afterwards, participants can decide whether to cache around the area, go get lunch somewhere, or go home and disinfect from the experience.
