Geocache Description:

This cache is part of a series of six micros (all double-potted 35mm film canisters) and a small 'bonus' on a circular walk of less than 2 miles around Brookwood Country Park in Knaphill.

Basingstoke Canal Towpath

Brookwood Country Park is a conservation area that lies above the Basingstoke Canal on land that, until its closure in 1994, was part of the grounds of Brookwood Hospital. Prior to the opening of the hospital (originally the Surrey County Asylum) in 1867, the area was known as Knaphill Common.

The park has four ponds with abundant wildlife - nesting swans and other wildfowl are a common sight here. Along the canal, you may be lucky enough to spot herons or kingfishers. This is a very popular area for dog walkers, joggers, cyclists and anglers, so stealth will be required!

The Bookmark List for the circuit has the details of all six caches as well as a couple of other 'trads' that can be picked up en route. You might also like to check out some local puzzles - a few lead to caches hidden nearby...

To locate the 'bonus', you will need to collect the five Bonus Code Numbers (A-E) from the micros - each cache (except BCP #2.5) contains two of the numbers, so you should still be able to push on for the bonus, even if one of the micros has gone astray.

There is a car park (open 24*7) by the football pitches close to BCP #1, and you can find a nice spot for refreshments across the road from BCP #5.

Please replace the caches carefully ... and don't forget to make a note of those Bonus Code Numbers!

Congratulations on the FTF to figures.
