This cache is NOT reachable from the freeway and CACHERS SHOULD NOT STOP THE FREEWAY to attempt to find this cache.
This is the closest you can get to the Freeway with out being in the Freeway recovery area. As I was standing here placing the cache all I could here was Zoom... Zoom..as the cars passed this little window to the world outside of this quiet neighborhood.
Recovery area. Did you know that WSDOT as well as the DOT for many other states require that a certain amount of area adjacent to a freeway road is set aside to allow for the recovery of a vehicle so that it can return to the roadway, should it leave it unexpectidly.
The number, size and strength of the sign posts in that recovery area is regulated to keep impact deaths to a minimum. Thats why you will ocassionally see felled signs along the roadway after a wind storm.
Seems kinda wastefull to have to keep putting the sighn back up but I'd much rater put a sign up a few times than go to a funeral. Wouldn't you?
