Geocache Description:

The Illinois River Road National Scenic Byway is kicking off a new geocaching series on April 30th at 10 am on the Peoria Riverfront.

Photobucket There will be 90 caches placed along the Illinois River Road National Scenic Byway from Havana to Ottawa. Geocachers will receive the coordinates for the hidden caches at the event on April 30th at 10 am on the Peoria Riverfront. Once a Geocacher finds at least 10 of the 15 caches in each of the 6 Gateway Communities along the Byway, they’ll be able to get a specially designed Illinois River Road National Scenic Byway coin. These 6 coins will be unveiled for the first time at the April 30th event. We will also have plenty of giveaways, coupons, and other special offers that day. This is an event that you definitely don't want to miss! ****Special thanks to Peoria Area Cachers (PAC) for their help in placing the caches!****
