The route can be completed in around 1 and a half hours being approximately 4.5 miles in total. This is over mixed terrain from tarmac path to grass and at times alongside the creek which at times can be both muddy & wet and slippery under foot choose your tides well.
Please ensure you wear sturdy footwear.
If your doing this in order then you should be walking across Benfleet playing fields, fortunately its been drained and the creek long since diverted.
Lets hope they remember this is reclaimed land and DON'T try and build here.

This is the second in our series and also a micro, so you will need to bring your own pen.
During the walk you will take in views across Bowers Marsh currently being preserved as a wetlands project and nature reserve. Once complete there is a possibility that with the guidance and assistance of custodians there may be an extention or trail through the new nature reserve.
Please be patient and do not place ANY cache on the reserve without their permission.
Dogs are permitted on the public footpath but NOT within the nature reserve, so please respect this exclusion and ensure that any dog is kept under control and away from any livestock/wildlife.
(potential for cattle grazing within although I have never seen any and nesting birds etc.).
