Connie's Curse Traditional Cache
momnalex: Due to park rules of a cache needing to be within 100 feet off a marked trail, and the original spot being about 1/4 mile away from the trail, I have to archive this. The new spot would have been simply too far from the old one.

one of my favorite places. filled with kids toys.
Cache is accessible from land or water....though be careful in shallow water if boating that you don't get hung up on rocks or branches.
Park in the horse trailer parking lot.
Follow Shady Trail to REF1 WAYPOINTS BELOW. At this point a deer trail cuts off Shady Trail....gotta look for it.... follow the deer trail straight down to the water. You will come to a wash out, follow the wash out/deer trail the rest of the way to minimize damage to fauna and you shouldn't need to bushwhack.
Once there, relax, enjoy the view.
This cache is named after my Mother-in-Law. We used to own one of the little houses you see across the water, it was wonderful. We would bring the kids down on weekends. Sit on the dock and watch osprey dive for fish. Admired the great blue herons, canoe, swim, party....Myself, my husband, 2 small girls in life-jackets and a raft, and the dog once swam across to the spot where you are now standing.
We had big dreams for that place...that is until my Mother-in-Law Connie got involved......and life at the lake changed......we no longer own that house, but that's ok....atleast she isn't living with me like she had planned. LOL!
