Route 66 The Mother Road..... Between two Historic giants in Downtown Elk City. To the west the once famous Casa Grande Hotel. In 1931 the U.S. Highway 66 Association Convention was held at the Casa Grande.. attended by 20,000 visitors. To the East, Parker Rig 114 - at 179-foot world’s tallest, non-working oil rig. Used in the area 1980's boom days.
