Historic old bridge on walking track
You can reach this cache with an easy 40 min walk along a well established walking track starting from near the Thomson rail station. If you time it right you will see the little steam train that runs between here and Walhalla a few times a day during holiday times.
Plenty of huge tree ferns hug the steep banks that line the river on your way to GZ and are very impressive. The hide is a nice easy one as you have done the hard bit just getting there. A small plaque gives a bit of info on the bridge on the east side of the river. You can make your return journey on the opposite side to which you came from as there is a walking track on both banks. I believe Muzza had a cache here a few years back that went missing so I hope this one doesn’t have the same fate.
