This cache idea is plagerized from one I've found on my travels. Travelling as much do I've realized I should leave feeling up skirts to the "professionals" at TSA. (that's the Transportation Security Agency, or make up your own politically incorrect version). So this is (I hope) an interesting twist on that type of hide. I just placed it somewhere around the pole.
Back in the fall of 2010 I looked at my caching stats and realized a couple of things. First - I had a shot at 1000 before year end, but secondly I was entering my non-caching season. So I decided to try and see if could solve that contradiction by going on a cache every day mission. I succeeded, reaching my 1K in December, and hitting 100 days ( and still counting) on Jan 1. Along the way I've come to appreciate many of the caches I had not before.... the easy ones. So to celebrate and thank folks, I've placed what I hope will be a good winter "cache a day" cache.
So what makes a good winter "cache a day" cache? Here are some of my criteria.
Availible at night ( less daylight outside of work hours this time of year).
In and out.... (can get too cold / nasty for significant trekking outside of the warm car).
Relatively straightforward (things can get real cold if I'm standing there pondering)
But still fun / unique. Too much of the same can always get old fast.
An "excuse destination" ( while I'm going to X I might as well grab a cache).
Finally - a bonus - someplace with warm beverages close by as an after cache treat.
Hopefully you'll agree with me that this one qualifies. LIKE MOST WINTER CACHES A SHARPIE IS A GOOD IDEA TO SIGN THE LOG WITH
