This is the first of four in this series. Hope you enjoy these.
The Iron Mountain Trail is actuallly the roadbed of a former narrow gauge railroad used to transport iron ore. The railway, constructed about 1860 and in operation until 1890? was part of an extensive industrial complex in what is now one of the wealthiest suburbs of Portland, Oregon. The railway connected a drift mine, used to extract iron ore, to an iron furnace, still standing in George Rogers Park As with all the caches in this series it is a key holder. Please replace the container as you found it so it doesn't get found by muggles. Please stay on the trail you won't find it in the vegetation. Difficulty rating due to alot of muggle activity on this trail. CONGRATS TO TOM VEIL FOR A FAST FTF !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
