This cache is hidden on a trail on Cape North Mountain known as the Kauzmann Trail, one of the best kept secrets in the Highlands. Trailhead is off of 6014 road at N46 59.969 W060 25.968.
Hike is a little less than 2 km one way with very little climbing, trail is very well marked and easy to follow, should be doable for hikers at just about any level of experience.
This trail is very similar to the famous Skyline Trail in CBHNP with only one major difference: the Skyline Trail is possibly the most popular hiking trail in all of Nova Scotia and is visited by thousands of hikers every summer. This trail on the other hand is known to only a very small handful of individuals and likely gets fewer than 10 visitors annually. Nevertheless it is still one of the very best in the province and anyone caching in the North Highlands should make a point of doing it.
