Geocache Description:

Easy access to parking, this cache should be a quick find although it may be considered a bit sneaky. Bring your own writing instrument. No room for swag or trackables. There is no need to cross the barbed wire on the north side of the trail - the find is located within the trail area.

Every time a cache's coordinates bring me to a guardrail, I think "Not Again!!" I have found so many magnetic keyholders that contain a soggy log that it's driving me crazy. It would be so simple to epoxy a magnet to nice little bison tube that has a great waterproof seal. I appreciate the convenience of a key holder, and applaud the CO's who take the extra step to get one of those little ziploc bags in an attempt to prevent sogginess, but it always seems that the bag gets ripped, and given our rainy weather, things tend to get soaked. Don't get me wrong, in the right location, a keyholder is great - it just can't be anywhere it might get wet (great example is GC29Y3H For Our Entertainment Only over in Bellevue)

So I thought I'd show that if you are a bit creative, there's always a way to make a hide that'll keep the log nice and dry. Just because there's a guardrail, you don't necessarily have to place a keyholder. . . . .

If you have a little extra time, you could wander east and hit another waterproof cache of mine - Apple Lovers GC2F838.

Congrats to DrTusk, jenjo, verygeeky & katgolightly on the co-FTF.
