Geocache Description:

The cache is placed near Houchigai Shrine.

According to the tradition, this shrine was built in 90 B.C., in order to end an epidemic. The shrine is located at the border of three old provinces --- Settsu, Izumi, and Kawachi. The place was believed that there was no direction because the place was thought a kind of singularity that didn’t belong to any provinces, then the place have been sanctified and was thought that who visited the place would avoid unfortunate direction.
The cache is out of the land of the shrine.

キャッシュは方違神社の近くに設置されています。伝承によると、創建は紀元前90年、疫病を鎮めるために立てられたとされています。方違神社はかつての摂津国、和泉国、河内国の境界に位置しています。そのため、どの令制国にも属さず、方位のない場所と信じられ神聖視されてきました。
キャッシュは神社の敷地外に設置されています。
