Bridge Closed
Please note that there was a fire on the bridge recently. I do not know if the cache is still in place. Due to work, I have not had the time to go rock collecting in this region in a while. I also do not know how safe the bridge is to please be carefull. I will archive if the next cacher can not make a find.
I travel to this area a couple times a year for the New Orleans Gem and Mineral Society. We travel up here to collect agates, petrified wood, and fossils. I like taking the roads less traveled. We stopped at this location and I thought it would make a great Geocache. You will run into Bridge closed sign on both sides. Once you walk across the bridge, you will understand why. This bridge crosses the McCall Creek. The McCall Creek merges into the Homochitto River about six miles downstream.
This is a micro cache, please bring your own pen. If you drop the cache you will have a long walk to go get it. Please be careful where you step.
