Cello. Full name - violoncello, Italian for "small double bass" - A bowed string instrument of the violin family. Among the strings, or stringed instruments, the cello has the second-lowest range. It ranges more than four octaves upwards from C below the bass staff. When played well, the cello is one of the most beautiful instruments. The notes played by a cellist have a rich, deep, and warm tone. Maybe I'm biased, but I believe it is the most expressive instrument in the orchestra.
When my daughter, Clara, was a baby, she would lie in her crib listening to me play the cello. When she grew older, she would beg me to play Christmas Carols on my cello. When she turned 6, she begged me to buy her a cello. That was 3 years ago and now Clara has blossomed into a brilliant cellist. She loves her cello, she is proud of her cello, and she plays so beautifully that it's a pleasure to just sit and listen to her play.
Clara is extremely shy when it comes to talking so she doesn't talk about her cello. It's her hidden talent. Therefore, I figured I'd hide a cache in honor of her cello playing.
This one's for you and your cello, Clara.
