Geocache Description:

This is a magnetic NANO cache where a small roll of paper fits into the cache lid before it is screwed back on. No room for swaps. Please replace cache so that it is well concealed. Wheelchairs users should be able to get right up to the cache but may not be able to retrieve it.

Cachers with children or dogs will be especially well disguised when looking for the caches.

Please let me know if any of the caches become wet, damaged or go missing.

This cache can be accessed from the footpath that runs outside the Park, or from within the Park. You may prefer to follow the footpath.

One of a series of caches set in Gloucester Park. This is not a puzzle cache so you could try for one or all of the caches - if you complete them all in order then your walk will be a little under a mile on level ground.

"Gloucester Park" has plenty to do if you would like to make a day or half day of it.

The Ranger is on duty most of the time during the day (depends on the season). When he is on duty there are also public toilets at the Ranger's Hut beside the children's play area.

As well as the usual green space, trees and children's play area there is a permanent table tennis table (bats and balls provided at the Ranger's Hut), a badminton/volleyball net (bring your own equipment) and a walk in fountain designed so that children, dogs and crazy adults can run in and out of it and get soaked.

There is also a static (permanent) orienteering course in the Park. The necessary map is available free of charge from the Park Ranger's hut. You could probably complete the course without a compass, although one would be helpful.

In the summer you may be able to enjoy watching a game of cricket on the adjacent pitch.

Pay and display parking is available close by or free on street parking is available in Midland Road (nearer to cache 1) and Weston Road (nearer to caches 2 and 3).
