Geocache Description:

An easy traditional cache along or near to the pathway that follows the line of the old "Incline Tramway". Thought to be built in 1814/15, the tramway ran between Henllys Colliery and the canal at Two Locks.

Some excellent historical information here

The cache is located very near the point where the Tramway met the canal. A nearby information sign gives some idea of the scale of the industrial activity that took place in this area. Virtually all traces have now gone except for the canal itself.

The cache is a screw-top plastic cup, containing log, pencil, a few goodies and a FTF pen.

Congrats to steview100 on the FTF!
