Geocache Description:

A cache on the trail to GC2AEC3 to make the hike even better. Set up by our grandson/son in the Caching Curiously group after we hiked into McGillivray Creek.

A 0.5 l LnL containing originally:

Canada geocoin
Stretch centipede
Four assorted 'bugs'
Two 'car motif' keyrings
Wooden puzzle

The turn off from the TCTrail (WAYPT3) is currently marked with some animal bones - skull etc.

The cache is at the base of a fallen tree which is 1-2 m West of the trail. The ground on either side of the trail is heavily littered with fallen trees, so this is not quite as straightforward as it may have sounded.

Best approach is to go up the trail until the GPSr indicates 1-2 m due West. Eye ball a good tree root, with tree attached, and carefully walk to it. When re-hiding, don't make it too well covered - so long as its hidden from the trail it should be fine. The purpose is to find the cache!

If you get to WAYPT4 you've definitely gone too far!

After the cache, keep on up the trail to visit the Canyon. This is a very narrow Canyon and quite beautiful (and treachorous). Whereas the lower parts are reasonably accessible, higher up will require some climbing skills and possibly equipment.

Please respect the fragile environment of the canyon and leave no traces of your passing.
