Une petite église en traversant l'île d'Yonne, vous ne pourrez manquer d'admirer la petite église Saint-Maurice à l'architecture toute particulière.

Couverte d'un toit asymétrique et surmontée d'une haute flèche couverte d'ardoise, l'église présente une composition atypique avec son chevet plat. A l'intérieur, le maître-autel proviendrait d'une chapelle de la cathédrale.

L'église conserve également un bas-relief représentant la Madeleine, daté du XVIe, et une châsse du XVIIIe.

Situated on the Yonne island, on the edge of the river, St. Maurice was the former parish of fishermen and boatmen. This 12th century church has been deeply modified throughout time, especially in the 17th and 18th centuries. Its circular aspe was torn off by the river, and replaced with a flat chevet. The famous horse-drawn barges, relaying Sens to Paris and to Auxerre, passed by the church.
