The cache is in Khosrov national reserve park, around a charming
hidden church. There are several monastic cells carved out of the
same rock.
The cache is above the highest cross carved on this rock (not
the one you see above).
Khosrov Forest reserve was established in the 3rd c CE by the
Arshakuni King Khosrov the Great, grandfather to Trdat III. Khosrov
is reputed to have had planted over one million trees, creating a
private hunting preserve while saving a piece of Armenias unique
ecosystem for generations. Most of the forests from his time are
gone, clear-cut by Mongols, Safavid Persians and modern Armenians
on illegal logging expeditions. You may find additional details on
Khosrov Forest reserve on www.khosrov.am.
The trail which leads to the cache was described in
www.wikiloc.com under the name "Kaladibi-Khuts".
