Every spring, a bunch of people run up the hillside and down the road a piece, before turning around to run back down. It's called the Copper Crawl and is part of the annual BoomTown Spree festival. It is a great way to start the day and the view is terrific.
Ah, the view, but watch your step and watch out for prickly plants, desert critters and snakes. And always carry water with you. Access is a maintained county road.
