Geocache Description:

A short Multi-cache around Llancarfan, the end cache is a small plastic box containing the missing Gems! Take care when finding the final cache, heavy rainfall can make the ground rather muddy!!

The peace and quiet of Llancarfan was shattered one morning to the screams of Lady Llancarfan waking up to find her prized jewellery she had been wearing to the charity ball the night before had been pinched from her boudoir during the night. There were several guests at the ball who may have spotted something, go and visit them to see if you can work out where the jewellery is hidden!

The suspect’s can be visited in any order.

The Charity Ball organiser was Reverend Mint who can be found at the church. He was busy carrying out a service when you arrive, but that doesn’t stop you from searching for clues in the nearby area!

Have a look at the "Related Webpage" as it gives you an insight into the history of the church and some of the secrets that lie behind the Limewash!

The Village Hall had a stone laid by Rev. Hughes the Vicar on ABth SEPT 19CD

What is the phone number in the village phone box? 01446 7E1FGH

The charity ball was held at the Fox and Hounds pub, run by a bubbly character called Miss Firecracker. She was busy clearing up after the night before, but have a look around for clues!

On one of the Pub signs, how many hounds are chasing one fox? Answer = I

The sport mad Sergeant Piccalilli was busy at the village tennis courts, he was keen to keep on practicing his serve, but that doesn’t mean you can stop hunting for clues!

A horseshoe was awarded to the village for being the “Best Kept Village” but in what year? Answer = 19JK

How many horizontal wooden bands appear right the way around the tennis court? Answer = L

The ever studious Mr Amethyst was working late at the school; he had to rush off to check on his experiment – which gives you time to hunt for clues.

In what year was the main school building built? Answer = 1MN3

The new building (slightly down the hill) was dedicated to Lynne E Smith. She was headmistress from OPQR to STUV.

At the village watermill, Madame Farine was making flour. As you have bad hay fever, you dare not go near the flour dust, so stay outside and have a look for clues.

On the pole outside the Mill in the centre of the small green, there are yellow numbers: 51;W703;00X

Head down to the old ford, on the footbridge there are three letters etched into the cement. The middle letter is T, but what are the other two? 1st Letter = Y 3rd Letter = Z (Where Y and Z are the number the letters give when A=1, B=2 etc.)

Mrs D. Perkins lives on the south side of the village (heading towards Moulton). She was busy nursing a hangover from the night before and couldn’t remember anything about the evening. She was however given a scrap of paper during the night which had different codes on it, referring to the location of the hidden jewellery. As she didn’t want to be associated with the theft, she panicked the morning after and hid the paper in a canister and placed it near the fence between two houses.

One house was named after a Charles Dickens character (her favourite) and the other house had a brand of biscuit above the garage door. That way she wouldn’t forget where she put it!

Get the codes and find the hidden treasure!!!

I have put a Trackabulldog in the Cache for the FTF and other random goodies!! Please leave the jewellery behind for other jewellery seekers! Have fun!
