Geocache Description:

The 3rd in a small series around Cwmfelinfach, part of the larger cacher valley series.

There are many view points along the sirhowy valley. Some picturesque, some not so. Some taken advantage of regularly, others sometimes neglected and forgotten. The view from this part of the valley is sometimes overlooked so I have added a cache to entice people to explore this side of the valley.

The cache itself is a small click lock container, small enough for little swaps and GC's. Some TB's may have a tight squeeze. There are plenty of routes up to this cache but I would expect all of them to include 150m of ascent. If tackled from the southwest the route is quite steep, while if you start from the tracks over in neighbouring Wattsville the ascent is more gentile, but you will probably add an extra mile or so to the journey.

Some of the older walking lanes can get tricky to navigate in summer months as the native flora and fauna try to reclaim the land.

Although Mountain bikers do use the area I would not like to recommend you try. I would class this as a walker only cache.

The cache is within Forestry Commission land and they have given their kind permission to leave the cache. Please respect the area and if possible cache in and trash out enroute.
