Geocache Description:

This is the 8th hide of my Once Here, Now Gone, (OH,NG) series about disapearing local history. About a 1/4 mile North on Econolochatchee from the cache, used to stand the Eddie Graham Sports Stadium. I thought it was across from the cache but some fellow cachers have set me straight, Thanks again for the info. I remember seeing "Dusty Roads" wrestle here, Oh Boy was it fake. : ) I also saw a tractor pull here, they had to pull the sled out the back door. : )

The Orlando Sports Stadium first opened in 1967 and later named after wrestler Eddie Graham was on the east side of town out in the middle of nowhere on the Econolahatchee Trail. It was a very basic indoor arena, no air conditioning, concrete floor, wood plank benches, and plywood doors on the stalls in the bathroom, if you were lucky. Photobucket I never saw any concerts here but, from the internet, these are a few of the bands I found. Three Dog Night, Led Zeppelin, Ruth Copeland, Black Sabbath, Ted Nugent, Amboy Dukes, Southern Comfort, Cactus Power, Bob Dylan with the Rolling Thunder Review, John Sebastian, Jefferson Starship, Rod Stewart and Faces, Grand Funk Railroad, Tin House, Edgar Winter, Ricky Derringer, Uriah Heap, Foghat , .38 Special, Pacific, Gas, and Electric, Rare Earth, Moody Blues…. And I’m sure many more. If you remember any, Please post. From "f5shooter": A young Elvis Presley played here too.

Congratulations to "SusanVette" for her first FTF
