This beautiful spot, just South of Flat Rock
Ravine, is roughly midway along the upper contour path, between
East Fort and Chapman's Peak. The area slopes away from the
towering cliffs of Noordhoek Ridge above, with some fine Protea and
other fynbos.
The cache is hidden a few meters off the path,
but there is no need to trample the vegetation. At S34° 03.888
E018° 22.584 you can step off the path onto a gravel 'track', where
you can easily step over and around the fynbos to reach the
cache.
An alternate starting point is the Chapman's
Peak path, S34° 04.632 E018° 21.875. If you are coming from the
Noordhoek side, and wish to avoid the toll, you can park at the
lookout and walk down to the trail head.
