Geocache Description:

The first one got muggled, this is now smaller and in a different location. If you have been here before, since it has been moved you can log it again.

My Grandparents lived two houses down from here. This is where I learned to canoe, tadpole hunt, chase frogs, and run from water snakes. My Grandpa used to make treasure maps for us and the treasures were here or across the street at the old nursery he called "BEAR COUNTRY". We would have all 14 of us grandkids down here for picnics and to pick "flowers" for grandma. We always carried hairspray with us, to spray the big dandilions and cat tails so the seeds wouldn't spread to grandma's flower garden on the way back. We found a turtle nest with the eggs hatching and watched the baby turtles hatch. I have so many FOND memories of the POND.. Grandpa, they are the true treasures you taught us.. I am putting this travel bug hotel in your honor for the the many hours you spent making treasure hunts for us.
