Russell Recursive Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

Tundradon: After giving it much thought, I have decided to archive this cache. It isn't fair to the rest of the GC community to leave the cache area occupied when I can't give it the maintenance it requires. I will pick up the cache and contents very soon. Thank you to everyone who played... TD

I thought I'd delve into a little signal theory for my second cache... Besides, my little town of Russell didn't yet have a mystery cache... until now.

Below you will find a binary stream comprised of a truncated maximal length (31 element) linear recursive sequence (LRS) that's been embedded with an intelligence stream.

Your job? Reconstruct the LRS in question, strip it away from the intelligence stream, then convert the resultant binary stream back into six regular "Cardinal" numbers. Here's the process:
a. Create a 5-cell shift register generator (SRG);
b. Apply two taps to the SRG, using the formula: R5(0,2,5); (or X0+X2=X5)
c. Place an initial fill of 1's into the SRG;
d. Using Mod II addition, generate the 31 element pseudo-random sequence;
e. Take the 1st 24 elements of the now completed LRS and place it overtop the embedded binary stream (provided);
f. Mod II add the two streams together. The resultant binary stream should now have been stripped of its LRS;
g. Separate the resultant stream into six equal segments, then convert the binary figures back into regular numbers.

The six numbers represent the decimal minutes of the actual coordinates, North and West respectively (assume N 45 15.xxx W 075 21.xxx)... Bring your own pencil and Good luck.
